When my sister and I were small she could not say Elizabeth and called me Wis Wis, so I decided to use that as my ID.

It's my real name but with a different spelling than I was born with. It was Noelly, but everyone called me No-elly and it is pronounced No'-lee, so when I was 40 I changed it. I was born a week before Christmas so instead of calling me "Christmas Carol", as they planned, they went with the Noel part of Christmas and added an "ly". At least with Christmas Carol, I could have been called Chris. I've always hated my name which is why my four daughters have very common names.

I was so surprised that you hate your name. I was just thinking how lovely it is!

Mine came from the old 50's song by Jimmie Rogers "Kisses sweeter than wine" which is what my hubby always says. That is why I chose mine. BTW, some wines are really sweet! My real name is Ida as shown on the signature line.

Yes, I love all aspects of quilts but I'm also a cat and dog
freak and Yankees baseball ultra-fan :) so I'm not really all about quilts.
