Love this thread. I see lots I'd like to do!

Ps: I say cement, too!

I also love this a lot!

I'm also from the Midwest "Liberty, MO" ... it's always been cement for as long as I can remember. My folks along with Aunts & Uncle also used the word "Holler" for deep ravines. I lived in Iowa for a short time, I was talkin to some coworkers and said Holler "I don't remember the topic" and they looked at me and started laughing. I wish we could go back when we were kids growing up on the farm, even though we had to work hard.

Triple barn star

I did a "Triple barn star" quilt for my niece for her wedding. I was expecting something a little harder than this but it turned out so simple and looks like a lot of work. This isn't my picture. It is the picture on the front of the pattern.

"Just can't cut it" is the name of the pattern

Checker board! I just love checker board quilts. All strip piecing, too. Have made jelly roll race, rail fence and a few of the others mentioned in this thread, too.

An 8" red bandana square alternated with a 4 patch in navy and chambray blues. Warm Wishes is usually my "go-to" for a quick quilt.
