AWW, you guys warm my heart. When I was married we used separate covers, too. I didn't think it was so weird but once I told someone my ex was beside himself to hush me up. YEAH RIGHT. At least my both sides were covered.

Blessings, Ruth

Us too! DH and I are both blanket hogs, and he is a night sweater and sticks to me...its gross lol. He uses a heavy comforter, I use my very old and needing replacing, fuzzy blanket. I have no idea what its made of, lol.

Yes, one of my quilts. A D9P made with Moda Louisa.

I have quilts that I have made on all our beds at home ... plus the beds at the cabin. I also have a few extras in case it gets really cold!

I have the first quilt I ever made on my bed. Took a class at school. The teacher didn't say start with something small. I need a queen size so that's what I bought (and cut) fabric for. Took 10 years to finally finish. Some blocks are hand pieced, some are machine. Points cut off, seams don't match-but I made it. Finally tied it because I wouldn't pay the money for it to be machine quilted. Now I mostly make baby quilts.

I had this on my bed for years, now the poor thing sits in the closet. It's just a little larger than a queen, but smaller than a king, now I have a lap quilt at the end of my bed. It's just to hard to me now to do such large quilts.

Hand pieced, hand quilted

Lap quilt on bed now. Machine pieced, machine quilted

I wanted a Bargello, but didn't think I had the skills to make it...so I found this top on Ebay.

I added the outer red border and then handquilted it.

Wow, Loretta! The handquilting is lovely.

Thanks!

I finished my kaleidoscope quilt this past summer, after working on it (off and on, you know how it goes) for about a year and a half. It didn't matter that it was 100 degrees outside. I was sleeping under that dang quilt! When it gets colder, I'll put a comforter under it :-)

scrappy quilt my mother in law made me, lucky to have a quilt she or my husbands grandmother made us on my bed for 36 years.
