I've only used Aurafil so I'm curious.

Hands down. Gutterman! It is strong. I have never had a problem with it. All my machines love it equally!

Where do you purchase Aurifil? I have never seen it, but can see from this post it is well liked.

YLI soft touch. Made in the USA

I go between Coats & Clark and Gutterman's because my machines work best with them.

Ha, that's exactly what I do.

Tristan Threads on the internet. I won't pay $11 a spool via a LQS for it...from Tristan it works out to be about $5 a spool.

I used to use Gutermann but now I use Aurifil too. It's more expensive but it lasts twice as long and it's less dusty than other brands... I love it!

I use a lot of Aurifil and I have a cone of sage green Prescensia that I love for piecing.

Right now Aurofil, because it matches. Most of the time I use whatever matches. I am not perticular!!!

For piecing I like Master Piece by Superior Threads. It is so very fine. By hand I like Mettler #60 cotton embroidery thread. It is nice and sturdy, but thin.
