Aurifil. Period.
Gutterman for me.
I like Aurifil, so far, haven't used it much. The essential thread form connecting threads is nice - doesn't break - but it is linty. It's great for my bobbin when I quilt. I use Mettler silk finish, too, occasionally.

I use Gutterman (mostly for quilting) and Coats & Clark (the huge spool)..
When piecing, especially scrappy quilts, I use up all my bobbin ends. :) |
i have and use all the brands so that i am familiar with them all....but hands down..aurafil is the finest...never breaks, very little lint, smooth as butter and although pricey it just seems to last forever....

Glad I read thru this post. Before, alot of thread posts were negative about Connecting Threads. I have a question though. The prices look good but how do you possibly get good color matches over the internet?
I love using King Tut when I use my friend's HQ 16
I love Mettler Silk-Finish. I use it for all my piecing.
Guess I'll stick with Aurifil. LOL
Thanks for the links to more economical prices! |
