What's on your list you want for Christmas?

I suppose all of us quilter's are looking for a little quilting related gift this year. Something you have drooled over and wanted to buy. I know I sure am wishing for the " Vintage Christmas", by Lori Holt book. Oh santa, please be under the tree! Now to make it even a more wonderful surprise, I would love to have the accompanying stack of fat quarters that goes with it. Perfection in my eyes! I would be awe struck like a kid in a candy store.

Battle Axe 12-17-2018 03:42 PM

I'd love to have a Quilt Path software for my Millie.

sewbizgirl 12-17-2018 04:36 PM

I would love another saddle stool, for my sewing machine downstairs. (Have one for my SD longarm upstairs.) Also want a year of Bluprint classes online, which I bought for myself today. Will probably be buying my own stool too, as I haven't told anyone I want it. :p

Quiltah Mama 12-17-2018 04:41 PM

I would never ask DH to spend the $ for what I have had my eye on. Just bought off Craigslist a Husqvarna Viking mega quilter on a grace frame. My beginning adventure into this type of set up.

Tartan 12-17-2018 04:43 PM

I have been so blessed this year, I want only to wish everyone a blessed holiday season!

SusieQOH 12-17-2018 04:45 PM

I got an early gift from my husband: a MacBook Air. Omg I love it!!!
My boys always know just what I like. Can't wait to open their gifts :)

PamelaOry 12-17-2018 04:55 PM

There’s two new lines coming up that I’d love to have, Granny chic by Lori Holt and the new Tula line with the unicorns (the name is escaping me at the moment).

my hubby is putting shelving in my closet for me so I’m getting a pretty amazing gift already!

SouthPStitches 12-17-2018 05:17 PM

I'm getting an Eversew Sparrow 30. I'm buying 2/3's of it and hubby gave me the balance as an early birthday gift. Last month we visited MSQC and he gave me an early cash Christmas gift to pick out what I wanted. He's a keeper.

tinbren 12-17-2018 05:20 PM

I have my Christmas present already. a cruise in may. can't wait

Krisb 12-17-2018 07:02 PM

We’re getting a new gateleg kitchen table that, when folded out, is big enough to,sandiwch most quilts and folds down to 10” wide. Last year we got windows and siding. Quilting stuff I just buy myself.

tranum 12-17-2018 07:40 PM

Retired my old machine and recently bought a new one ! Yeah !

quiltingshorttimer 12-17-2018 08:12 PM

DH and I are giving each other a recumbent stationary bike (with an attached desk that DH can use while writing) and we are treating our kids and g-boys to 5 days/nights in CO in late July. I've asked my DD to bring home something for me from Nepal (she gets home Wed at midnight--starts the return trip at 5:30 am our time!!) and for DS to do some electrical fixes here (he's an IBEW apprentice so knows how to do this).

DACO48 12-17-2018 09:13 PM

Lok Blok Rulers for one, silk thread for hand applique, Clover clips, and a multitude of other sewing goodies

sewingitalltogether 12-18-2018 12:44 AM

Well, I asked my DD for the Caswell Quilt pattern. And told the SIL that he could give me a gift certificate from www.fatquarter.com. My DH is giving me 5 yards of different reds from the Missouri Star company, that I bought. And I got 6 grandsons coming and it will be a very good day.

quilterpurpledog 12-18-2018 02:57 AM

I am not going to buy another inch of fabric next year! However, I am thinking seriously of buying a Grace frame and using my BERNINA 1130 to do my quilting. I am considering going to Salt Lake to their facility to gather, first hand, all of the information. I see comments on the board from time to time-but there are so many unknowns. If I were younger, I would go for a long arm but it doesn't make any sense when I am 82. I still love to quilt and have lots of of projects to do.

Kris P 12-18-2018 04:05 AM

I asked for a 3" memory foam topper to take with me to Quilt Camp... The beds are so hard there, but I still want to go, even if I can't sleep. Also a weighted harness for posture, hoping to reduce stress, and a stripology ruler.

I am intrigued by the Eversewn 30 - might be a great machine to travel with. But do I really need it?

Karamarie 12-18-2018 04:59 AM

I've asked for a new embroidery scissors and ear bags.

lindaschipper 12-18-2018 05:01 AM

I purchase my own quilting supplies, wants and needs. Yesterday I ordered the stitch regulator (evens all the stitches no matter the speed you are quilting at) for the Janome 1600 that I have on a Grace Sr-2 frame. I'm hoping that for $499 it does the job. Should be here before Christmas. If my husband gets me something it will be something like a hand held shower nozzle to make washing the dog easier.

grann of 6 12-18-2018 05:15 AM

Since it's just me and the dog, I bought my own Christmas present.... a Babylock Aria sewing machine. And I just love it. When the Husqvarna Vikings start to have electronic problems they will go in the trash. No more Vikings, since the company restructured and raised their service prices.

What are far bags?

Cactus Stitchin 12-18-2018 05:19 AM

The latest model of the Scan n Cut! I do lots, and lots of machine embroidery and the latest version is susposed to be able to read my embroidery files, PES, and cut the fabric for appliqués. The other feature that tipped the scales for me was the new automated blade adjustment feature so I didn’t need to learn how to do that....... My husband is also a keeper and gives me a very large gift certificate to my favorite Quilt Shop every year. Yup! I’m being spoiled this year!

charity-crafter 12-18-2018 05:26 AM

Hubby bought us all new kitchen appliances and me a tablet. So I shouldn't want anything this year.

But, in my dream world, you know after I win the lottery and get my fancy total body massage chair. I'd like to get the electric accuquilt cutter starter set and stock in steam a seam. :D

I feel the same...DH and I just buy stocking stuffer items for each other because if we need something during the year, we usually don’t wait until Christmas. : )

Happy Holidays!

coopah 12-18-2018 05:47 AM

Hubs helped me buy an Eversewn 30 this last summer. I bought him a tool he wanted that was on sale at Sears. Also last summer. That's it. Fun and done! 9

Watson 12-18-2018 05:50 AM

My list includes new Machingers, as mine are black from all the dark quilts I've made this year and because of our big trip next year, that's about all I'll likely be getting! :D

I really want a dedicated sewing room/space! Right now I work in the dining room...

anonymous 12-18-2018 06:21 AM

I want new transformers for my track lighting in my sewing room. I want to switch to led lights and lots of them. I currently have halogen bulbs which produce so much heat that I am sweating in no time.

Onebyone 12-18-2018 06:24 AM

I can't think of anything quilt related I want. I bought a new Tutto case for my machine a couple weeks ago and paid for a guild bus trip to Missouri Star for March. DH reminded me our lease is up on our house in March so we need to find a house to buy before then and put our house we moved out of up for sale, it's in a different town. We do things odd and out of order but it makes sense to us. LOL

Macybaby 12-18-2018 06:25 AM

I'd like classes so I could get a jump start on using some of the equipment that I already own. I sure don't need any new supplies.

grammasharon 12-18-2018 07:10 AM

I bought an Eversewn 20 to take to quilt retreats to replace my little Brother CS6000i that I jammed the threader on. Cost more to fix it than get a new one besides I decided after six years and at least 3 retreats a year it deserved to rest. I am extremely happy with my new machine. In hindsight I think I would have gotten the next size 25 but didn’t want a heavy machine to travel with. I have now added another retreat in February in snowy MI so I hope this little one serves me like the Brother. At 77 hoping the machine has more years left than me. LOl

Ear bags? Is that something I need to tell Santa?

KalamaQuilts 12-18-2018 08:00 AM

we don't fool with christmas anymore, but I'd be pretty happy is a couple stacks of interesting neutrals fell in my lap

quiltybarb 12-18-2018 08:07 AM

My husband bought me an early Christmas gift of a fitbit.....I think he's trying to tell me something.....

Kitsie 12-18-2018 09:20 AM

I would really love another Amazon gift card! There are so many little things I like to get through the year. My daughter gave me a $50 one last year and I bought so many things (quilting related) I'd wanted but couldn't justify spending a few dollars on. Please, dear daughter!!

Cheshirepat 12-18-2018 09:57 AM

Well, it's just me and the hubby, and we already gave our gifts to each other, so really all I want is TIME to quilt. That's really it. Wishing everyone get their wishes, whatever they may be!

Karamarie 12-18-2018 12:15 PM

It's ear bags and they are ear muffs that do not connect to each other. So easy to put on, take off and stick in your purse - don't take us much space. Google them and you will see what they are.

zozee 12-18-2018 01:52 PM

I want a gift card for a 90 minute massage to help this quilter's body feel better. My left arm and shoulder are getting more painful and weaker (old injury from falling againt a gas pump). My lower back and glutes are sore from sitting to sew. My neck....

Oh, just pretty much "top to toe" hurts right now.

wildyard 12-18-2018 06:07 PM

I really want a BIG slotted ruler, but I can't decide between the Shape Cut Pro and the other brand, which I can't think of right now.

mtkoldra 12-18-2018 06:10 PM

pretty much everyone in the family has a quilt from me but I wish someone thought that quilting gift would nice? No, I will get anything but that. Well, I still love them.
