Hi Girls
How's your Christmas shopping going ( Or making of course) I was just wondering as to what is on YOUR wish list for Christmas? We are all about what to make for someone else so how about what YOU would like.

pojo 11-29-2010 03:35 AM

I would like an accu go cutter but just dreaming of one it's okay.

Good Health to everyone and peace in the whole world too.

AlwaysQuilting 11-29-2010 03:38 AM

I'd love a frame and longarm.
But I'd have to wish for a room to put it in first!

lots2do 11-29-2010 04:06 AM

Giving myself permission to "go sew" more often.

magpiefeather 11-29-2010 04:09 AM

I want an Accuquilt Studio with 3 inch strip die, 5 inch square die and 5 1/2 inch triangle die. That's for starters and if not for Christmas, for "tax refund"!

plainpat 11-29-2010 04:14 AM

After wishing better health for both of us, I can also wish for learning to do better at FM quilting & allowing myself to sew only colors & patterns I love.

karen65ae 11-29-2010 04:15 AM

I think I will ask for an IOU and when I return to Australia in April purchase a embroidery machine....
If I lived in the USA I would of already of purchased a machine and a accu baby GO for my Christmas gift....The prices seem to be double in Australia ....
Will ask my daughter who lives in Texas to purchase a Baby Go before she visits next year..

Juliebelle 11-29-2010 04:35 AM

Done with shopping yea, as for myself I got my present last month when my DH got me a Janome 6600, I think we got tired of me talking about a new machine and just took the bull by the horns. I absolutely love love it. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season.

Goldie 11-29-2010 04:38 AM

My wish is to whittle down my UFO's...saaay, maybe that's more of a New Years resolution!

watterstide 11-29-2010 05:02 AM

i would like a heated water bowl, for the birds.
and a 6 month membership to the local exercise place..

Jo M 11-29-2010 05:04 AM

Shopping? Still working on it.

As long as we're wishing...

Oh, Dar, I hope their hearts will turn home at Christmas! {{{hugs}}}

SherriB 11-29-2010 09:42 AM

My sewing wish list includes:

-presser feet for my 301A and 501A,(They are on their way, so maybe they don't count?)

-a new 60mm Olfa rotary cutter ( I am tired of fighting with my Fiskars cutter)

-a new cutting mat, the big one!

Spudgm 11-29-2010 09:45 AM

My health problems to be resolved.

Dar, I do hope you get your Christmas wish and your family will reconnect. (((HUGS)))

Ladies, I wish you all a healthy and happy Christmas!

deema 11-29-2010 09:55 AM

I'm pretty much done with shopping for everyone else...a few little things and gift cards to pick up, yet.

I already bought my Christmas gift for me (from hubby lol) - a new sewing machine!! I don't think anyone else is getting me anything sewing related, which is fine by me - though some LQS gift cards would be great! I'd really love an e-reader, and I *think* my mom might be getting one for me.

My biggest Christmas wish is to have my daughter HERE on Christmas day...but because of her father living so far away, extended school holidays are the only time she sees him and she'll be going to her dad's. :(

SuzyQ 11-29-2010 10:00 AM

I'd wish for a 9" harp machine to use on the frame I have but only use as a clothes rack LOL. I was given the machine but am afraid I will burn up my regular sewing machine on it.

msariano 11-29-2010 10:01 AM

On my wish list is a gift certificate to the local quilt store. I went there this past weekend and most of the fabric was $11.95 a yard--up about $2 from the last time I was there. I won't be shopping there anymore because I can't afford it.

OmaForFour 11-30-2010 05:03 AM

I wish for that darling little baby in your Avatar, but will have to settle for looking at the picture often! LOL.

Tally Kathy 11-30-2010 06:28 AM

Gift certificate for a LQS
More time to quilt
Make quilting a more aerobic activity!

Mariposa 11-30-2010 06:29 AM

I'd love to have a featherweight! Throw in some batiks, and a few brights too!

Bobbinchick 11-30-2010 09:23 AM

Well for me I wish they can fix the valve in my heart sooner, but what I want is a kindle, a long arm and frame and let's see what else,,,well I'll just say every thing under the sun....Huggies, Fay

jdeery 11-30-2010 09:51 AM

Shopping for fabric with unlimited money, and shop till I drop.
Also, a week (full day) of just sewing with music playing and
something in the crockpot going, .....la, la, la.....dream mmmmmmmmm!

tutty 11-30-2010 10:03 AM

Joan Gaddis 11-30-2010 12:38 PM

good health for me & hubby. cannot think of anything else!
don't need fabric or any quilt related items .hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday

BellaBoo 11-30-2010 01:00 PM

I would really like a Bose radio system but it's not a high priority want. My music taste is nothing like DH's and I'd end up listening to his music more than I'd want to. DH came home today from getting a hair cut and said I bought my Christmas present. I said at the barber shop? Nope, he stopped at his favorite sporting goods store and bought a new complete hunting outfit (he cringes when I say outfit) If you know about name brand hunting clothes then you know it's the equivalent of buying a Bernina. I think I'll plan a trip to Paducah quilt show in April for my Christmas.

Lady Crafter 11-30-2010 01:06 PM

I'd love help packing my fabric and moving to North Carolina. Its taking too darn long! Then I wouldn't feel that I can't sit and sew ...

CindyBee 11-30-2010 01:30 PM

I gave myself an early Christmas present and finally quit smoking. It hasn't been easy but today I am going into my 3rd week as a non-smoker. The best thing is DH said that if I am still smoke free after 3mos. and promise to never smoke again that I can buy a long arm machine! His suggestion! I NEVER would have thought he would think of anthing like that.

tutty 11-30-2010 01:37 PM

Yay Cindy !!! I quit 17 years ago and it was the best gift I ever gave myself and family !!! I had a heart attack 2 years later at 45 years of age and Dr's said I would not have made it had I still been smoking !!!!! So, a Very Blest Christmas to you and yours !

tortoisethreads 11-30-2010 01:41 PM

I already bought my gift from my hubby and from my kids. They try every year and I end up with a robe, so this year I took it into my own hands :) I bought enough fabric to make a quilt that I fell in love with on this board and the batting for it.

MORE TIME TO QUILT!!!!!!!

Bobbinchick 11-30-2010 02:15 PM

You can do it Cindy, I quit smoking 45 years ago and still smoke free now. Good luck and I know you will earn that longarm. Huggies, Fay

:-D :-D :-D Which quilt did you fall in love with?? My lone star???? Naaahhh just kidding. Huggies, Fay

pattypurple 11-30-2010 03:45 PM

Cindy, congratulations on giving yourself the gift of breathing. I quilt 40 yrs. ago and had good incentive- DH wouldn't marry me until I quit. We just celebrated our 40th anniv. last Sat.

Congratulations! I know how hard it is to quit. I quit years ago and I still wonder how I managed to stop. It takes time to forget about smoking and that's normal. Hang in there and you'll never regret stopping. Next time you see an elderly woman smoking think how that could have been you one day. Not a pretty picture.

Judie 11-30-2010 09:33 PM

Let me add my congratulations to Cindy. You may not believe it now, but in time you will hardly be able to stand close to anyone that smokes.. It's horrible.. and I was doing that to myself. NO matter what it takes, just keep away from those nasty things. It will give you life and freedom you didn't know you could have... and lots more money.. and lots less doctors.. Since you've made it 3 weeks, you can do it, no, you've done it, just keep going!!! What a great gift to yourself, the best one yet!

Judie 11-30-2010 09:37 PM

Now.. for me, I am wishing for some comfy slippers, and a few spools of embroidery thread.. Good cheer to pass out freely, and the presense of mind to remember WHO all my blessing come from, and give thanks.

Wishing all of you a wonderful season...

kim_s 11-30-2010 10:20 PM

I would like a couple of the new thread sets from Connecting Threads. I would also like one of the new iPod nano's. I have a Creative Zen that is on it's last leg and the new nano's are very cute and small. :)

Dar - will keep you and your family in prayer.

Cindy - way to go! Don't they say it takes 21 days to make something a habit? And you are there! Be sure to post pics of that new longarm!!!!

TN Donna 11-30-2010 10:26 PM

I would like to have a cutting mat and a rotary cutter and a 6x24" ruler. I guess that is out now though.
