When directions say "As drawn, templates should be placed on the right side of the fabric"...does this mean don't draw template, just cut out? Now I have all these lines on the top of my fabric. Help!

I think it means to place the templates on the right side of the fabric and trace (versus tracing on the wrong side) :D:D:D

thanks for your reply, but when you put right sides together, lines are between the two...duh, what am I missing?

I don't do much template stuff but if the directions say to put it on the right side of the fabric a certain way, why couldn't you just flip the template over and trace it on the wrong side of the fabric?
It would come out the same, wouldn't it?
I can't think why you couldn't do this although, as I said, I don't really use templates so don't take my word for it.

you should be ok, even if the lines are drawn on the right side of fabric, when you sew them together the lines will be covered...

If you are using directional template the folding and cutting the pattern out one piece would be facing one left and the second piece would face right. So. If you want to have all of the facing the same direction you would only do one layer.
