As long as it's reasonably flat & with 1/8" of the finished size, I quit ripping!

I will mark the block with a note, so I don't forget the size when piecing the top, adjust the seam allowance, and remeasure the blocks after piecing to be sure it's true to size.

How often do I say: Good enough? Almost every day!

Really cute blocks!!

As for me, I try not to count the number of times I rip stuff out. I have learned that I need to press each seam - AND if it does not "look" square or straight - I need to measure it and solve the problem before I continue. Sometimes this does not require ripping out - just a "straighter seam" lol.

I think it looks lovely..it is made with love and you did a great job!!

I think ahead to determine if the next block (or row) will be affected. Then I ask if I can live with it. Over time, I have come to realize that some little flaws will not show up in the finished project but it took a lot of trial and error on my part to "get" that.

I used to take anything apart that was more than 3/16" off. Well, glad to report that those days are over. I have gotten quite good at fudging, tweaking, adjusting and making pretty things.

Your block is a pretty thing. Don't be too hard on yourself, go slow and do your best.

Just asking myself that question all week! I finished a very lovely quilt although I am not quite happy with it. Maybe 95% I am. Debating on ripping it out and redoing it or giving it for the birthday gift it was intended! Considering, once I give it away, the cats will probably lay on it, it is probably good enough!

I quilt for fun. Ripping isn't fun, so I just don't do it. A quilt with character keeps you just as warm as a quilt that is "perfectly" made.

Well that is very cute. It does look challenging. Experienced quilters often tell me not to worry, "It will quilt out." Guess they mean mistakes are not as noticeable once it's quilted.

Beautiful blocks...I say move on...no need to waste your time ripping again. For me, I just love yo-yo's. When my points don't match, and I don't feel like ripping, I just stick a yo-yo in the center. Who cares...my quilts are still loved just as much!!

My seam ripper and I are best friends. Love your blocks.
