As I have gotten older I have discovered the usually if the weather is too hot, too humid to quilt, it is also too hot, too humid to clean house.

I am with you on that. We live in what we lovingly call,"The Great Northwest!" We don't have severe weather here. Might rain but we seldom have to shovel it. We might get to 100 degrees, maybe three times a year. Humid, yes, but if it is cool out then it doesn't bother us too much, altho we have been known to complain about it if our hair gets frizzy. Jan
PS: I have been feeling bad for all of you east of here that are suffering so with this awful hot weather.

thankfully i have central air in this hot texas humid simmer!!....so i can quilt with ease, the problem is i do not even want to walk to the car, drive and wait for the a/c to cool the car off, then walk into a lqs to shop, walk back to car, drive and wait for the a/c to cool off car, then walk back into the house......so i have had very few shopping days this summer...boo hoo!!!!!!!
