I perfer white on white, but I am a realist and if white or creamy muslin is in my stash and in the correct ammount, I use it.

I use white on white. I really like it better than a solid white

I generally don't use white very often. Too bright or too harsh. I prefer an off white (softer look). If I do use white it is a tone on tone. The only solid color I use is black or navy. My LQS has a sale on solids and I got some black and navy, the QS owner pointed out the sale and asked what other colors I needed. I told her that I don't use them I prefer blenders and marbles.

I love the idea of using sheets. I've used the flat sheets for backing but never thought of using the fitted sheet for piecing.

Kona snow. I love it.

Kona and Kona Bay. Made by the same company????? Does anyone know?

White on white, or cream on cream. I don't care for muslin for backgrounds or backing. Just me! :D

Otherwise, I use high quality white sheets- thread count about 250. I know that many don't like to use sheets, but I buy sheets and sheet sets in Ross or TJMaxx and don't care if they are irregular. The first thing I do is rip off the elastic on the fitted, and tear it into rectangles more easily used. I often use the fitted sheet (of any color) as the sashing in a quilt, then I use the flat sheet for a backing, and give the quilt with the pillowcases, which match exactly. Sharon |
I prefer Kona cotton or white on white.
