You don't have to be married to an engineer for that! Mine is an electrician and I still get it. I was building some tables one day Very simple. three sides and a top. Everything squared up just fine. He comes home and tells me I'm doing it all wrong.
Three years later, who's is still standing??? mine. his fell apart. I love it when a plan comes together. :-D |
So funny but so true.

I have a kitchen island in my sewing room.Took out the cutting table(wanted more room in the middle of the room) store my
accuquilt go & dies in the doors....keep the leaf up on it...cutting mat on top for cutting, it is the same heighth as cutting table and am making an ironing board top for it so I can press large pieces of fabric there and then store it behind the island......works great for me... |
just a caution, don't use the board that contains formeldihide
|
I asked my engineer husband to make a wooden board to cover my board.(I want it removable.) I actually borrowed one to copy. I asked,,,,"Just copy this one. Don't improve on it. Don't change it, just copy it."
Well, he finally did...couldn't use plywood, he made it out of OAK that he found at the Restore shop--pretty heavy but he did listen this time and I've got my board. I do have a deck outside that 20 elephants can dance on at the same time...anybody want to party? It is so over-designed! I feel your pain! |

My husband is not a trained engineer, but he's in charge of one of the units out at the BP Refinery, something that takes an engineer brain |

I work with engineers everyday. They over engineer everything on paper and then it never works in real life anyhow and then I have to fix it. You have my sympathy.
