I am noticing our Fabricland has gone way up in batting prices, it is now $39.99 for 100% Warm and White a meter and sometimes they don't even have any in stock.
Where can I buy it online cheaper and that have Paypal and will ship to Canada? Also 100% cotton. Thanks! :) |
Sometimes ebay has good prices on batting.
|
look at ebay and compare prices, I have bought from there in GB, am sure there are sellers in Canada.

I will ship batting to Canada and overseas. I have 90" cotton batting for $9 per yard, Wool batting 90" wide for $14.50 per yard and 50% bamboo and 50% Cotton Blend Batting for $11.50 per yard. If you put your question on the board as a new topic, you are likely to get more answers. To do that, click on Home, Main, then on New Topic, and away you go. |
I looked on Ebay and found warm an natural for $3.60 a yard plus $2.61 for shipping to Canada. Oh my gosh that is cheap! Yay!
Has anyone bought batting as squares? Is it easier to quilt it that way? |
The batting is by Fairfield. The bamboo has anti-bacterial qualities because bamboo is processed with hydrogen-peroxide to break down the fiber. It is very soft. Most underware and socks are made with bamboo. Also it's a sustainable product.
Yes, I have a store that is opening, but the website is not active yet, still in beta testing. You can look at the site at http://pele.lunarmania.com/~beaut88/, but you cannot order from it yet. You would have to pm me or send me an email at [email protected]. If you are really looking for warm, then the wool is the best. Also, it's very soft. We take paypal and will ship all over the world. |

if you put the batting in a plastic bag and use vac to suck the air out it's almost like the vac bags you buy on line

Marshall's dry goods has a good price on batting, but I haven't ordered from them, yet!
|
Frankly and sadly I don't set my foot in Fabricland. I hate their membership
policy and their prices are outrageous. I prefer to just buy all my fabric online. Keep an eye on fabric.com. Sometimes they offer free shipping if you buy for X amount so it's time to load up. :) Their prices are reasonable and I see they accept Paypal. |
"Frankly and sadly I don't set my foot in Fabricland. I hate their membership

This store, years ago, used to be just great. But they closed the local store and I've not had occasion to shop them since. |

Aully~
I purchase my 100% cotton Warm & White by the roll from Joannes.com. I don't know if they ship to Canada or if they have pay pal, but it might be worth a look. They usually have 40% off sales and sometimes 'internet' specials, where you can get an extra 15% OFF. This week batting is 40% off AND internet special of 15% off so a queen roll is only 190.00 USD. That's a great price. Good Luck! |
I normally just wait until Joann's has a 40 or 50% off coupon and buy a bolt of batting. Thank works out pretty slick. :)

Well that just stinks!!!! Sorry to hear that! :(

I don't go to Fabricland unless forced to, or I'm to lazy to drive to Len's Mill or Joann's in Niagara Falls, NY.
They closed the one closest to my house, so we have to go the next city over. In Canada Fabricland is the ONLY chain fabric store anymore. There are local ones (Len's Mill does have several different locations in Southern ON but that's IT!) I'd take advantage of whatever deals you can find online for batting!!! Theresa |
i pretty much shop on line mostly at fabric.com in Marietta Georgia,USA; i am pretty sure they ship to Canada. they have great prices a huge selection of everything, great fabrics, wonderful customer service. they carry Warm & Natural, and a couple other batts. i highly recommend them, i;ve been a regular customer with them for over 10 years. have never had a bad experience...and that isn't to say there have not been errors, there have been a few but i would say maybe 1 out of 15 orders might have a wrong cut, wrong fabric, something. they always fix it immediately, very kindly. they have great sales and here in the us a wonderful shipping policy, i can only imagine they work just as hard for International too.

Have you tried Hancock's of Paducah? I am looking at their catalog & they are selling queen size (90 x 108") Warm & White for $24.98 USD. On their order form they have a space for "Country"--so I'm guessing that they ship to Canada. They also have several methods of payment listed, but I didn't see Pay Pal.

I bought Hobb's 80/20 batting thru Connecting Threads on line. It was on sale for 30% off. I paid $9.37 for twin size. I think that the regular price is about $13.50. There was free shipping over $50. I got great service. I really like the batting!

I've ordered from www.batt-mart.com. They do ship to Canada but I don't know about Paypal. It would be worth contacting them. AFTER I ordered and paid, they called me and offered a cheaper shipping method and saved me $20. Order came in 2 days.

Thanks! :) |
Make sure you check the shipping charges before placing the order...
specially for batting. It's bulky and usually cost more. |
When shopping on line from Canada (to store in states)...always, always, always make sure it is being shipped USPS (Postal service) Don't ever have it come UPS or similar. You will pay HUGE brokerage chgs.$$$$$$$$$$

Marshall's Dry Goods has a good price on batting. Do a search for batting. There are many sources.

I buy my batting at JoAnns on line when they have 40% off
coupon. But I don't know if they ship to Canada. (?) |
I buy my batting at
http://www.quiltfabricstore.com/prod...ng-p-1408.html However, I don't know if they ship to Canada. |
I have been purchasing all my batting from Lakeside Quilting (http://www.lovetoquilt.com). They offer Legacy brand in 9 yard boards as well as rolls and individual packages of cotton, cotton blend, bamboo, and soy blend. I love their 80/20 blend and their 100% cotton. If you have a business license, you can set up an account with them and get wholesale discounts also.
|
I go directly to Pellon online. If you go to www.pellonideas.com you will find a link to the Ala Carte online store. I can get a 120x120 batt for about $23, or I can buy six 18" squares of Legacy for about $5. I find their prices very reasonable and I love the legacy batting. I usually buy a nine yard board and find it very reasonably priced and easy to store. The fusible batting is great for adding "weight" to tote bags.
