I purchased mine at a supermarket

anniehug 08-03-2011 03:33 AM

Here in the UK when A4 size printer paper is purchased, it comes wrapped in wax paper. This is identical to freezer paper and free!! What a bargain - 2 items for the price of one.

I saw freezer paper at our local WalMart last week. But I buy mine at the grocery store across the street.

J Carol 08-03-2011 03:59 AM

Try in the area where the plastic bags, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, etc. is located in most grocery stores. That is where it is in our WalMart! You could also ask a clerk in the grocery dept.

sherryellen 08-03-2011 04:00 AM

Sam's Club. It's a large roll so we share it.

FERSID 08-03-2011 04:26 AM

My local grocery store.

suzee 08-03-2011 04:30 AM

In Massachusetts, you would find it at Hannaford's or Wal Mart.

PBaumgartel 08-03-2011 04:37 AM

I tried Walmart with no luck, but in Rhode Island the Stop and Shop has it in the same aisle as wax paper, foil, etc. I was excited to find it because other grocery stores in our area do not carry it!

Val in IN 08-03-2011 04:40 AM

I usually buy it at Walmart but have bought it at the grocery store too. Both the freezer paper and parchment paper are by the wax paper, Saran wrap, baggies, zip locks etc.

Ask the customer service to order you some.

crazyrvquilter 08-03-2011 04:54 AM

Sometimes, it is with the canning supplies. Also, you can buy precut printing size sheets from your local quilt shop-ask them to order it,or the internet, but shipping makes it expensive.

atvrider 08-03-2011 04:55 AM

At the grocery store or at Walmart.

clsurz 08-03-2011 04:59 AM

You can find it in most national grocery stores as well as Walmart, SAM's Club, Costo's, etc.

eparys 08-03-2011 05:04 AM

I purchase mine at the Grocery store - but Amazon has it if you can not fine it locally

I can't remember, but I think I got it at Kroger.

MelodyWB 08-03-2011 05:09 AM

I get mine at the local grocery store !!

Deborah12687 08-03-2011 05:16 AM

Ditto, WalMart.

mhansen6 08-03-2011 05:53 AM

I buy it at Albertsons, a grocery store. I always have.

Dianne1 08-03-2011 05:54 AM

Walmarts next to the parchment paper, or anywhere paper towels, napkins, alum foil etc is sold.

Rose Bagwell 08-03-2011 05:56 AM

I buy mine at Wal-Mart or our local Save-Mart. It's buy the plastic wrap. Have always found it there.

majormom 08-03-2011 05:59 AM

Well, I guess I'm the only one who buys freezer paper in 8.5 x 11 sheets! It's made by C. Jenkins (cjenkinscompany.com). But I do it because I use it for printing my labels and sometimes for printing a quilting design on my printer and it goes through wonderfully because it is flat and is the proper size. Things on rolls like to curl and I just don't feel like fooling with that!

MargeD 08-03-2011 06:13 AM

I've always found it in the grocery store, where they have plastic wrap, aluminum foil, etc. If not, ask your store manager. I'm pretty sure they have it at Wal-Mart as well.

Nancy Ingham 08-03-2011 06:17 AM

I buy mine at our local Shaws grocery store.

matraina 08-03-2011 07:04 AM

I've gotten mine at the grocery stores. Guess you'll just have to ask them where/if they have it.

rosiewell 08-03-2011 07:07 AM

I buy mine at the supermarket or at Costco when they have it!

deerhaven3 08-03-2011 07:28 AM

I've wondered how long it will be before we won't be able to find freezer paper in the stores anymore. I believe most people wrap their meat for freezing in plastic wrap and then plastic bags now. I find it a better alternative to keep the meat from getting freezer burn. So, I would say, when you find it, stock up.

Mollysmum 08-03-2011 07:44 AM

when i want the heavier sheets for the printer i order them online.[/quote]

Are they available in in 8.5"x11" sheets? Just curious. I spent more time cutting the paper ( bought at grocery story) and flattening out the "curls" than I did printing it. This was a first for me.....why DID I need to try 1" hexagons at 10:30 last night?...
I can see how a heavier paper would work better.
I'm new to quilting, and helpful words are appreciated.

I've been able to buy it at Big Y in Northampton, MA.
Good Luck

Mariah 08-03-2011 08:00 AM

Both Wal-Mart and Dillons have it here.
Mariah.
They have it stocked with napkins, ect, paper goods aisle at Wal-Mart. It is in a different location at Dillons, don't remember now. Ask one of the clerks and they will help you.

GrandmaLola 08-03-2011 08:07 AM

Estate Sale! I just got an unopened box for less than half of what I would have paid for it in a store!

Fabaddict 08-03-2011 08:09 AM

I have always found it in grocery stores - Walmart included

BarbaraSue 08-03-2011 08:09 AM

I find it in the aisle with wax paper and foil. Prchment paper is there next to it usually. Local grocery stores, walmart.

patski 08-03-2011 08:28 AM

our grocery store has it, check bottom shelf by foil, or ask you customer service, lots of people still use it in the kitchen!
