Where has this wonderful tool been all my life

I recently purchased a box of Clover Wonder Clips and they are just amazing. I have been using them instead of pins for all different things and they are so great. They are tiny so they don't get in the way. I love, love, love them. I got them on Amazon by the way.

DonnaC 06-25-2012 11:48 AM

That's great to hear because I just bought a package, but haven't used them yet!

This is why I love these clips!

Thanks, Nana, for posting those youtube sites. Handy little things. Must get some.

Dina 06-25-2012 01:10 PM

You can also buy them at JoAnns; they were 50% off last week.

VaQuiltgal 06-25-2012 04:21 PM

Got mine at Hancock's a few weeks ago on sale. Had a small box & now bought the box of 50. Love them for binding and especially for holding straps when making purses.

Taino Jan 06-25-2012 04:26 PM

After seeing the You tube, decided to get some. Thanks for sharing.

BellaBoo 06-25-2012 05:50 PM

They are worth the cost. I use to think hair clips were the best until I tried these. No comparison. I had a 50% coupon for JoAnns. My two DDs and their friends get the flyer with coupons but never use them so I had them stop and each buy the large package for me. I have 250 of them. Enough to share because if anyone borrows a few they never get returned. LOL

auntpiggylpn 06-25-2012 06:24 PM

I love them too! I have used them on my last 3 quilts; NO pin pricks!!!

ranbro 06-26-2012 02:36 AM

Best thing since sliced bread.

CAJAMK 06-26-2012 02:51 AM

I am now starting my Christmas list...Wonder Clips is on the top of that list!

Lyncat 06-26-2012 02:55 AM

Oh my goodness, I need those!

chance 06-26-2012 03:12 AM

Watch your office supply places. I bought clips from Staples Offfice Supply - 30 for $1.00 on sale. They came in three different sizes. They are metal spring action in bright colors and work great. I love them. (Needless to say I bought several packs and am set for life.....) I'm sooooo cheap :)

girlsfour 06-26-2012 03:55 AM

I love them too! I have used them more than I thought I would. They are worth the money.

gardnergal970 06-26-2012 04:46 AM

They work better than pins when matching up corners and keeping points pointy. They have a flat side so they don't buckle the fabric and cause problems. I have 10 and I count them every time I use them and put them back in the container. It works for me!

these do NOT work the same as the clover clips...they work for they are meant for, but do not lie flat, nor have the teeth and they are bulky and have the handles that get in the way.....I use binder clips for my paper piecing patterns though!

Grace MooreLinker 06-26-2012 05:48 AM

They are wonderful little things, I have problems with pins (stick myself to much) so I've really used mine .

jamsbuying 06-26-2012 06:38 AM

Thanks for sharing. I'll have to get some next time I'm at JoAnns.

I count mine too! I have 60 of them and when I am done with them, I will search and search until find the one that has strayed!!!

chaskaquilter 06-26-2012 07:05 AM

I also use a few on my little herb packages I get to keep the package closed tightly after I open them. Also have grabbed a couple to close chip bags. And I do use them in my quilting studio also. Wonderful things.

matraina 06-26-2012 07:38 AM

I had a 50% off coupon for JoAnn's, too, but all they had when I went in was a package of 10. I'll keep watching.

sparkys_mom 06-26-2012 07:47 AM

I bought a small package and I love them.

Gramie bj 06-26-2012 07:58 AM

I have been wanting to try them but at 54 cents each I would hate to try them only to find out I don't like them! LOL Has anyone found they don't care for them, and why?

Those metal clips aren't the same at all. You won't know how much better the Clover clips are if you don't compare. Being frugal is great but being cheap is, well, just plain boring.

Rhonda Lee 06-26-2012 08:20 AM

I love to try new stuff. Thanks for the heads up.

cmw0829 06-26-2012 08:25 AM

I also got them on Amazon - it was the best price anywhere at the time.

Just used them on Sunday for my second-ever quilt binding. The corners were SEW easy and they're easy to use with one hand. I used the 'hair clips' on the first-ever binding and while they worked, they just weren't as easy to use. Worth the price if you can get the 50-pack for about $20.

cny_sewer39 06-26-2012 09:03 AM

I wasn't sure that I would like them either, but I was lucky enough to test them for my local quilt store (for one of the owners) and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them. I would recommend them to anyone. They work great for quilts, quilt binding, purse straps and zippers. I was making my son a camo coat and used them to hold the zipper in place when sewing. I bought one pack on sale on Eleanor Burns website, but bought my other packs on Amazon & was given a pack for mother's day.

Have a blessed day.

patski 06-26-2012 09:14 AM

me too. love em and its' so nice not to get stabbed, especially when I do binding

CAS49OR 06-26-2012 12:17 PM

Thanks for sharing the tip, and thanks to who it was that shared the youtube video. I thought I saw a thread about this before discussing the merits of using hairclips or other clips instead, and also thought I saw a few who were not impressed.

Looking at the video and seeing the remarks, I think I'll get some!

carrieg 06-26-2012 12:33 PM

For binding, I use the coated paper clips. No pin pricks, I can buy a box of 500 for not much $$. But it sounds like a useful tool I might have to ask for christmas. LOL

Silver Needle 06-26-2012 02:51 PM

Thanks for the videos. I have the clips and am going to try ditch in the ditch on granddaughters quilt this week.

pawebdoctor 06-26-2012 03:36 PM

Must have these! Thanks for sharing!!!!

QandE2010 06-26-2012 04:03 PM

I just got 2 boxes and I, too love them.

maryel 06-26-2012 04:07 PM

Thanks for sharing this, I can't wait to get mine!

pllboyer 06-26-2012 05:15 PM

I like them especially for holding binding while I hand stitch it. jhittle sewing has them at a pretty good price.

Gladys 06-26-2012 05:26 PM

Clover wonder clips, wow, thanks guys for all the information, I might be able to sew a straight binding now.

xsquilter 06-26-2012 05:39 PM

I am waiting on the delivery of mine! Thanks for all the positive comments....it just seals the deal!

You guys made me very curious so I searched the web and found them on sale at Fabric Depot for about $20 for 50. It was a good enough price for me so I bought 2 pkgs. Thanks for enabling me.
