I was planning on getting one for my birthday and i am just curious who has one and how much you use it etc. Any pro's - Cons etc.

TIA

I have one and like it. I recommend shopping around online for a good price; someone recently posted they found it for $224 online.

Mine was hard to crank at first; it gets easier to crank with use. I never cut more than 4 layers at a time. Have heard that the rag die can be a pain because it needs frequent cleaning, although people still like using it.

What I *really* like my Go! for is cutting out triangles -- fast, very accurate, and all the dog ears are cut off! Makes for easy accurate piecing of triangles. Also like it for strip cutting because it is a little faster than my Shape Cut, although I also like the Shape Cut.

I agree--I like the accuracy and the ease. I love the strip die for binding etc... I have learned to press my material first--I've had a few crooked strips.

I've had mine since before last Christmas. I use it a lot, have been adding in the different dies. I love the strip cutters, and also have made several rag quilts with the rag die. I think it's great for everything. Mine was hard to crank at first too, but had loosened up now.

I have one and I just love it!! My favorite dies are the strip cutters -- fast and accurate.

It took me a little bit of time to figure out how to get my fabric on the straight of grain but finally figured it out....just takes practice. Don't think you'll regret getting one!

I just ordered mine today. Can't wait now to get it. There are lots of options when purchasing, make sure you order which dies you will use.

Right now you can get the cutter & all the strip sets plus the basics for $399.00 a $635.00 value. Its on their site.

Hi, I got one of these for Christmas, cut out 1 quilt and SOLD it on ebay. why? By the time I pre cut the strips, and folded them and then cut them I could have done it the old way, Also it wastes fabric so you have to calculate the waste factor in, I was fortunate to have purchased extra fabric. Yes it does cut accurately, and is great for their cut outs, I also had to look at how many dies and pads I had to purchase to make things, and decided it was too pricey long run so I bought an Alto cutter instead, no fabric waste and faster! :-)

I have had mine for a couple of months and love the strip dies. I have bought many of the dies but haven't used them all yet but the ones I have used I really like. You can work with it so that there isn't that much waste. I think it is a time saver.

I pre-cut my fabric just 1/2-inch wider than the die's cutting blade, so my only waste is 1/4" strips. I haven't found any more waste of fabric with the Go! than with my rotary cutting. Most of the demos show fabric that is cut much wider than is actually needed, and that does make for more fabric waste.
