I don't starch either, but I do press after the addtion of each piece.

I press as I go also and then spray with sizing when block is complete.

Well here is the snowflake I did of Carol's. Its pretty but, you can see the blue under the white. Its very very bulky in the seams.

It looks great!
If you stagger the seams (cut 1 side of the seam smaller than the other) it will help reduce some of the bulk. |

Tip for putting odd papers through the printer. Wrap an 8 1/2" piece of painters tape along the leading edge of the paper, it will help it feed through. This will work with freezer paper or thin tracing paper. |
Yes.
You can print directly on the non-waxy side. Also, you can iron fabric to the glossy side (face up or face down depending on what you need for your project) and print directly onto the fabric. There are quite a number of sites that show how to use freezer paper through your printer - Anyone got some good links? |
Additionally, you can iron other, more fragile papers (tissue, brown, plain white, whatever) onto the freezer paper, allowing you to print onto papers that ordinarily would be too delicate to run through the printer without hanging up.
Same reason for the freezer paper with the farbic. |

You sure can! I feel like I get better results that way. There is no distortion from tracing and all pieces are the same. I think it is just more accurate, at least for me! |
Krazy...your block looks wonderful! Great job! I don't know what you do about the show through...I have that same issue sometimes depending on the fabric.

Beware!! Once you start you'll find it addicting. You never have to worry about points being straight or pieces not coming together accurately. It is the best!
