Hancocks Paducah have Midnight Black by Quilters Dream, black polyester. I use loads of it, Select weight is best. It quilts and washes beautifully and you can quilt up to 10" apart should you wish to - I quilt quite heavily on it. Have used it in many large wallhangings (it hangs well) and bed quilts also.

I just used Midnight Black by Quilter's Dream and am very happy with it. I quilted it pretty densely but it still is soft with a nice drape.
