I've been quilting since 1973 so I can be someone's quilting buddy.
I know a lot about the old way of doing things and some quick techniques (strip piecing method). I wouldn't be much help in the machine quilting area since I don't machine quilt. At least not yet. |
I'm up for adoption!!!!

I would love to be adopted, I am a quilting in training, for the rest of my life.

I would like to be adopted. I am just really starting out I have put a few things together..not without error..lol..but muddled through it.
I will put myself up for adoption! I guess I am a confident beginner.
Count me in for being up for adoption. :) I only started quilting about 2-3 weeks ago, but I'm hooked!

I would be happy to be an adoptive parent and to held someone in any way I can. Not an expert at anything, but have been quilting for a long time.

Boy oh Boy...I sure could use some help!!
Thanks! Melinda |
I would be willing to "adopt" someone, although I've only been quilting for about three years now, and I know there are many more experienced quilters here.
I have done mostly traditional piecing, including curves, and some set-in seams. I have done paper-piecing and have a pretty good handle on it. I don't do much applique. I don't hand quilt, but I have done a lot of SITD machine quilting and some free-motion. |
willing to help out put me on list
I would like to be e adopted.
I would like to be adopted.
I am new to traditional quilting and need to be adopted. I have finished a quilt top but have not quilted it yet. I have made several denim and flannel quilts but those are easy because they do not have to be quilted.
I would like to be adopted. I started quilting this spring, and am a beginner, except for some past experience under the guiding hand of my DSIL. This is my first on my own efforts.
I am doing the row of the month, from Claudia's, and working on quilts for my children and grandchildren. Mostly still collecting fabrics for those. |
I would like to be adopted.. I have done some quilts for the family but still have questions. Would like to learn how to FMQ and binding is a nightmare for me..Thanks
I would love to be adopted as well. I certainly could use the help. Thank you. This is the greatest site.

Wow, so many of you have responded and I have all of you on a list of either ADOPTER or ADOPTEE. Believe me, there are more wanting to be adopted than those of you willing to adopt a quilting buddy. Come on aand through your name in one way or the other. I had hoped to match up with others in the same area but that is not easy. I will do the best I can though. Hang in there. Donna

I've been adopted. Mswordwiz has adopted me to teach me what I don't know about quilting. There is lots I don't know and she is willing to teach me. She is so good. I have seen lots of her work and I can only DREAM to quilt anywhere near as good as she does. So not only have I acquired a quilting daughter but I have acquired a quilting mommy as well! Ya! Ya! Ya!
I am availble for adopting as I'm a new quilter. But I have a group in my town that was started last year to teach quilting, so I am not desperate. It would just be nice to chat once in awhile, though, with someone from the board.
I need more help with utilizing the tools on the board than with the quilting--posting pics, and links, and starting a new topic, etc. |
I would love help. The owner of my LQS who was my mentor recently closed the shop due to family needs and at the moment I'm floundering. More lack of motivation-I can't seem to find time to sew even though I have time for the computer. I could use a "pusher". I have a lot of projects and ideas. I sew many items to use in an annual Woofle to raise money for basset hound rescue and need to get on it.
I am an advance beginner and would love to be adopted to be able to progress.
I would like to be adopted; then, maybe one day I could be an "adoptor."
I am a beginner quilter and would love to be adopted to learn how to do things right. I just love the board and you great quilters.
I'm not really sure about this adopting stuff. It sounds like being dependent on one individual to hopefully be on their computer when you need help. When I'm looking for help, I generally want it right now. I already thought this board was one big giant buddy system and there are always quilters on here ready to help. I always think it's great to get a variety of help giving me a variety of choices and suggestions for answers to a help question. Options are great. If you have just one person to go to, you generally would only get one suggestion for a way to do something. So am I missing more here than simply getting know someone on a more personal level?
I would like to be adopted! I am a very basic quilter and have lots to learn.
I would love to be e dopted. this is a great idea. thanks
I would like to be adopted. I do quilt and I have friends who can help but I think an online buddy would be great. Libby

I would like to be adopted too! I've been trying to do learn everything from books, and sometimes the books don't really answer the question!
