Meme's Love 08-17-2010 04:26 AM

I still need to be adopted .I'm very new at this and already love hand quilting.

jolo 08-17-2010 04:58 AM

I would be happy to be a quilting Mom,grand mother . I will do the best I can to help. I am not much of a machine quilter, have done some small ones on my machine ,Mostly I hand quilt. I piece on the machine ,but mostly again I do hand piecing, needle turn applique, I do the traditional pieced blocks, crazy ,string, etc. paper piecing, I have been quilting and piecing for many years, all my family have quilts, now sell off or donate the ones I do. I have taught classes in several LQS, Oh yes I have one adopted dd on this forum. Ilovejunkandstuff is my adoptee. I am not too computer literate so you may have to help me there.

nicky 08-17-2010 05:04 AM

I don't have a quilting mommy. Can you help me with that. I didn't even know you could have one. lol I am fairly new to the site and I am just working on my first bed quilt.

LindaR 08-17-2010 05:09 AM

I could be a buddy

lynndianne 08-17-2010 05:28 AM

Sounds like there are more people wanting to be adopted that we have wanting to adopt. I guess not everyone will be matched up.

I could use a buddy but would love to find one close enough to actually see. I am in West Asheville, NC.

I am a pretty inexperienced quilter, but have sewn forever.

Blessings,

Sharon

Looks like there are a lot of quilting waifs out there yet! ---- I'd be happy to add another daughter to my quilting family - Been quilting many years, formerly owned a quilt shop & taught. Now spending most of my time between kids & the sewing machine!!

Joyce 08-17-2010 07:00 AM

I thought our adoptees would PM their questions to us.
I wouldn't have any idea of what to send to someone if they don't tell me or ask a specific question.

bookworm 08-17-2010 07:02 AM

I'm not a total beginner but I'd love to be adopted

dphelps 08-17-2010 07:05 AM

I would be more than happy to "adopt" or help someone. I am from Hewitt, Texas, have taught beginning quilting, hand applique, and hand quilting for the passed 15 years. I certainly don't know it all, but I think I can help...or we can learn it together.

Bookworm and I have adopted each other. Sounds like fun.

Redhead 08-17-2010 10:49 AM

Please add me to the list. I REALLY need to be adopted.

ladyinpurple135 08-17-2010 10:58 AM

I would be more than happy to adopt someone. Started my quilting journey in 1979 when everything was done by hand so know a bit about hand piecing. Also do needle-turn hand applique, machine piecing, hand embroidery and all the stuff that goes along with quilting - not meaning I know it all - which I surely do not!! I've taught a Beginner's class and a Beyond Beginner's class with one guild I belong to so have been renewing my skills.

How does this work? Will someone email/PM me or do I get send an address or ??? I'll be away for a few days visiting my son near Seattle but will have computer access - just let me know. If you're near me I'll even come visit and lend a hand.

Quilt till you wilt - and boy have we all been wilting this Summer!!

Sandy in Mooresville, NC

carmen4him 08-17-2010 11:36 AM

I could use a buddy. I made a quilt nine years ago. I have taken a few classes. Started quilting again about a year and a half ago. If anyone would like to mentor me I would be greatful. Thanks, LOL in Christ, Happy Stitchin, Carmen

sueisallaboutquilts 08-17-2010 11:43 AM

I would love to be adopted or buddied by someone who is good at machine quilting (not long arm). I never thought I would want to learn until I found this board. The machine quilted quilts are stunning!! I have a Bernina Quilters Edition and the thought of quilting on it scares me! hee hee
Thanks to anyone who wants me.
Sue

I NEED to be adopted by someone. I am to ashamed to post any pix or ask more stupid question. I just know I am the only person that is going through this. :D lol lol

I would love to have a buddy! Started quilting Spring of '10 and am loving it. Have already learned a lot, but know there is a lot to learn yet. Have a little problem already...can't seem to pass up a fabric store without stopping in and buying some more! This is so exciting....Kim from Texas
