Who takes classes at Craftsy?

They are having a sale right now and I'm sitting here wondering if I should sign up for a couple.

Any recommendations?

They have terrific classes! I have taken 3. Excellent support if I have problems.

I LOVE Craftsy. I have taken a bundle, and have the projects hanging on the wall behind me.
Stupendous Stitching was my favorite.
The Painted Quilt class and Pictorial quilting classes were great.
I really enjoyed Thread Painting.
The Quick Strip Paper Piecing was great.

I haven't taken Leah Day's class, but I think it would be great for a free motion beginner (I just used her youtube videos when I was learning- Craftsy wasn't available.)

I didn't love the Cloth Dyeing class- most of that was available on the internet, but I did learn some stuff, so it wasn't too bad.

I've done some of the sewing classes too, and for me those are hit or miss. I prefer the quilting classes.

I have purchased one class. I have been considering getting back into garment sewing, so I bought a pattern fitting class and I learned quite a lot. Craftsy has free quilting classes. Why don't you check out the free classes and see if you like the format. If you do,you can then purchase. Give it a try!

Jump in and take the plunge, you won't regret it. I've taken several of the classes and my favorite like stated before is Stupendous Stitches. You can also try the free BOM which is great. The best part of taking any class, is that you can watch it 24/7 and their is always support from the instructor and students. Of course if you're not satisfied you can get a full refund.

I have pretty mixed feelings about Craftsy quilting classes. Of the 4 classes I have signed up for, I asked for a refund on one, because it was mislabeled as being for everyone and in fact was really only for long-arm quilters, and stopped listening to a second, because it was a frequent advertisement for the teacher's specialty rulers...

So that is about a 50% success rate.

On the whole, I think I prefer Quilt University's classes, but it really is a question of personal taste. I love Leah Day, but prefer to go to her website directly!

This is a REALLY good sale. I've purchased 3 classes, and I'm unconventional in that I watch the lessons but don't necessarily do the entire project. I have both Leah Day and Ann Petersen's free motion quilting classes, and by watching them, it was enough for me to take their techniques and try real FMQ on a small quilt and it turned out okay! What's nice is that you can watch it over and over, and the teachers really do respond to your questions. I usually learn by reading books, and it was helpful to watch someone actually doing the FMQ. They post some (not all though) reviews of the classes. I'm thinking about purchasing another class.

I took the class on hand quilting, by Andi Perejda. I thought it was great. I know how to hand quilt but I did pick up some hints.

I took Design It, Quilt It and loved it. Learned quite a bit. Signed up for a second class, Quilting Negative Space, but have only watched the first lesson. I think they are worth the $$$, especially love the fact that I can watch them over and over again.

Wonderful...wonderful and you have interaction with lovely people learning just like you. I began with their free BOM 2012 and since have purchased 7 other classes. Have watched videos several times as refreshers. Jump right in the water is fine. Also taking the 2013 BOM with Laura
