Machine love

Is this odd? , should I book time on the "couch".

No at at all. You form a very intimate relationship with your machine. You spend hours with it rather then people. You talk to it. You get a feel for it's intricate needs in handling. You love it, you curse it, you ignore it, you crave it.... Since we restore machines I have a long littanl of likes and dislkes for different ones. Some I look for ward to getting another one and others I loath.

Is something wrong with me? I do not have an attachment. If it broke down today it would be just a good excuse to purchase a newer model.

I think because they give us so much pleasure, and we have such good memories of the gifts we make
Like when I made my first dress for my granddaughter, and the first doll quilt I made.
Thank you for giving me happy thoughts.
GOD bless.

I am very attached to "MYSTUFF", if anyone goes near the basement, i am ready to cut fingers off, my bad?? I don't bother anyone elses stuff, so i feel they need to respect my stuff and stay away from it.

I love my current machine. I looked for another when it was broken because I wasn't sure it was worth fixing and I couldn't make myself buy another machine. Sometimes love works that way:)

I love all my sewing machines...even the broken ones...I cannot part with them.

I believe it is because we spend so much quality time with our buddies (Sewing Machines).

Its the only thing in my house that is just MINE. She does not whine, complain, need rides, food or clean clothes. When I sit to sew, she PURRS. AND I get left alone when I'm at her side. HEAVEN!

If mine broke, I wouldn't mind replacing it, but my attachment is "using" it. I cannot use anybody else's machine but my own. I know the way it works and I know the "touch". I just hate to use somebody else's machine!
