Just as I'm sitting there diligently quilting a UFO, I take a break and I find a link to a pattern that I have wanted forever! Now I want to stop what I am doing and start something new! It is a paper-pieced double wedding ring that would be perfect for a scrappy quilt.
Google paper-pieced Double wedding ring quilt pattern and you will see the site for McCalls Quilting. Templates and instructions are there in PDF for printing or to save. What's wrong with me?? |
There is nothing wrong. You are a quilter. It is a gift and we are gifted like that.
|
I think it's the creative mind at work!! :D:D
|

I believe this comes with the title, "Quilter"
|
I know what's wrong with you .... Nothing! I would say it's normal, but we're all extrodinary here on the board, right? :) :) :)
|
One would think with all our creative juices flowing we would all be very thin:)

Even though I'm a newbie at quilting, I have 3 going at the same time...
One I'm hand quilting... One waiting to get batting and backing... and the one I have started hanging on the wall... Did I say I've been practicing FMQ on my machine and made a couple of pot holders, so I wouldnt waste the fabric...LOL |
I have been known to stop a seam half sewn on the machine and start a new project on another machine! I figure when I'm quilting it's the only time I can do what I want when I want so why not?

Some would call it ADD or ADHD but I think we just want to try everything! Everything always takes too long so we have to start something else. I don't know if I've ever finished something that didn't actually have a recipient. It's good, though. When I find a recipient the quilt is almost done!

Hi, would you might sharing the link? Thanks.

Pam M Not sure if this will lead you directly to the pattern or not, but you can do a "search" once you are on the McCalls site. |

Printed that McCall pattern a few years ago. I was afraid they would take it off the Internet. Started to make the arcs a few months ago in between other projects. Have about 45 arcs completed but I intended to only make a lap robe, but these arcs make a hugh block so I'll have to refigure how to cut it down to a smaller version.

whats wrong with all of us. this happens to me and when ever I am in the middle of a project and find another one I want to do, I will sew a few pieces of the new project after I get done with a part of the old project. I call it using up the bobbin thread.

Thank you for the heads up for this pattern. I've made a DWR the old fashioned way, and believe me--it is very time consuming! I just may try another one, doing the paper pieced technique.
Thank you again! |

Sounds like most of us are the same! So that's normal, right!
|
I actually made a wall hanging from this pattern. It is one of the hardest ones I've ever made, but it sure was beautiful.

Too funny...I only have at least 10 to 15 UFO's and guess what pattern I am working on right now. The paper pieced DWR from the McCall's site. Using all scraps and it is the most fun because each ring comes out perfect. As soon as I figure out how to post pics, will put some up.
