Yesterday I "felt the need" to go touch some fabric. I went to Hancock's and the lady there asked if I needed help with finding something. I told her, "no, I just need to touch some fabric". She laughed and said, "Go ahead and touch it all if it makes you feel better". I said I would. I did end up buying 3 fat quarters.

I caught the Connecting Threads Warehouse Sale here in Central Ohio. Now I have just re-arranged my fabric into file cabinets - several file cabinets in my new sewing room, (half of my basement). Connecting threads contributed 16 lbs of fabric to the stash. I have to put together some projects to clear space in the cabinets to store the new fabric. $2.96 a lb, which is about $1.00 - 1.50 a yard. Great Haul!!!

Well, this weekend hit three different quilt shops, two new that I had never been to before. It felt good, I felt good. And I maybe picked up 4 yds of fabric total but I did buy 4 patterns. (but that doesn't mean I won't go back for something I saw!)

So it was a good weekend, I got out of the house, saw some new fabric, got some new ideas and was able to finish a project at home. Life is good!

That sounds terrible, what a sad thing to have happen. Did it happen to her or a friend???

I personally believe it is the love of fabric that keeps us quilting and not vice versa! It definitely is for me! I am trying to use my stash rather than going shopping. I have a lifetime supply but get me in a fabric store and I will come out with at least one bag full!

it has been 93 days now since i purchased fabric and i have finished several projects and made progress on others. I was just gifted with a $25.00 gift certificate to my LQS what to do? fabric is calling....if i buy rulers or some other notion, would that be better..
