it depends on the fabric in the border, & what look I want. That being said, I like how the mitered corners look, and the corners go into my triangles basket for use in HSTs later!

I only miter if the fabric is a stripe of some sort and I want it to go around the corner.

Only recently have I been mitering corners. Always before I didn't, but sort of figured that if I didn't miter them, that I wouldn't be finishing it correctly. Whew, I feel so much better knowing that some of you don't!

Depends on the look I'm going for...

I would think some fabrics might need mitered corners to match up things. Luckily, most don't! It is an extra step, so kudos to those that tackle it. Make sure you show us pictures. We love to see all quilts! With mitered corners or not!

I haven't mitered a border yet. It's not something you HAVE to do, just a personal preference.

Only mitre when There is a print that will make a pretty corner if mitred, or using a border stripe. Normally, I sew the sides on, then top & bottom and "bam," it's done & done is better!

LOL....Heck....I don't even know what a mitered corner is! :D

It depends on the pattern. Some look better with mitered borders and many don't. I have not made many mitered borders.
