A different green that is closer to one in the stripe. The blue from the stripe. At least one of the colors would look better in tone on tone print.

Rettie V. Grama 07-28-2011 05:20 AM

The stripe is perfect.

quiltymom 07-28-2011 05:21 AM

Purple or Dk. brown

Stitcher317 07-28-2011 05:24 AM

A different green, toned down a bit. Adding some black would set all the fabrics off.

vivoaks 07-28-2011 05:41 AM

Black would certainly help the other colors to pop, but what you have there is also fine.

Mis. E 07-28-2011 05:50 AM

Im with Jane Purple or black

Sylvie45 07-28-2011 05:51 AM

I like it - it works.

Charquilter 07-28-2011 05:51 AM

I'd go with the dark color in the stripe, black or whatever it is. You need a darker value. The others are about the same.

LindaDeeter 07-28-2011 05:52 AM

I like the pink and the cream ... but that green seems a bit overpowering, in my opinion. I'd use that pretty teal. That is a very pretty strip!

Jeanniebelle 07-28-2011 05:58 AM

I also think a black or purple would work. Also how about a mediom to dark teal blue? Jeanniebelle

ladyredhawk 07-28-2011 06:01 AM

I think it will look great together all the colors are in the stripes.

I agree

BrendaK 07-28-2011 06:11 AM

IMHO I think the green is too intense. Is there a muted orange there? Really like the stripe. Be sure to show us the picture when you figure it out. BrendaK

Looks good together

TheCloser 07-28-2011 06:19 AM

Agree with the others. Also, I think you need a dark like purple.

sewmary 07-28-2011 06:29 AM

Isn't it funny how we all see things differently! On my monitor the fuscha and green go great with the stripe and it is the tan that is off. I vote for a brown also.

BellaBoo 07-28-2011 06:32 AM

Th green and pink are the same value so you need a contrasting color. The pale yellow needs a brightener friend, maybe a a few pieces of brighter yellow but not as bright as the pink and blue. Just my opinion. Your quilt colors are very pretty.

meanmom 07-28-2011 06:39 AM

A purple, black or a grey. Is that a grey stripe in there.

donnacollierbess 07-28-2011 06:53 AM

I think it depends if you want a classy looking quilt or a fun looking quilt. For a classing look, I'd go with the black; for a fun quilt, I'd vote for the purple or pink.

The green is not the right shade, the other two will work. So will the other colors I've inserted.

qltnutty 07-28-2011 07:10 AM

I think black or Chocolate brown would make the colors pop. How about a different green.

vintagequilts 07-28-2011 07:36 AM

I vote for black.....You could make it look more like an Amish quilt. It would be beautiful!

EagarBeez 07-28-2011 07:44 AM

I think a burgundy, deeper green

quiltingcousin 07-28-2011 07:56 AM

The green's a wee bit wild for me. I think the deep purple or green in the strip would really give it richer look.

Val in IN 07-28-2011 08:07 AM

I'm no help, I think you should use them ALL and add some black too! :-)

Mariposa 07-28-2011 08:08 AM

Purple!

BarbaraSue 07-28-2011 08:47 AM

try a silver/gray instead of the cream. might add the punch. I'd also make one of the colors a tonel and not just solid with the stripe. It would give the deminsion that the stripe is trying to convey. Just a thought.

quilt addict 07-28-2011 08:56 AM

Not sure of what pattern you are planning to use. But the fabrics seem to have the same value. The tan will work as it is lighter but I think you need to also have something darker.

LindaKayCat 07-28-2011 08:58 AM

I really like the blue/grey color.

LindaaJR 07-28-2011 09:07 AM

I like this color as it tends to tone fown the brightness of the pink and green. Love the stripe and these 3 colors. Take care.

white

hawaiilove 07-28-2011 09:40 AM

I'd go with aqua - good luck with your choice.

grammysharon 07-28-2011 09:46 AM

i agree. the pink and green seem ok but the tan needs to be more intense. Brown sounds good.

FroggyinTexas 07-28-2011 10:39 AM

I think you need another "strong" color. Purple, chocolate brown, etc. froggyintexas

Kas 07-28-2011 11:04 AM

White.

galvestonangel 07-28-2011 11:34 AM

I like the idea of the blue.
