My Pfaff has a built-in walking foot and I LOVE IT!!!!! Good luck with yours.

I bought a walking foot after reading about it on this board. I haven't tried it yet so I'm hoping I will like it. I also bought a "generic" one. I got mine on Overstock for $30.00. Still being new to this I didn't want to spend a boat load of money if quilting isn't my cup of tea. My biggest problem is I really stink at following directions. I'm more the visual type. I guess time will tell.

Babkagal...you can go to Sears and get a walking foot for your Kenmore. Might be cheaper in the long run instead of buying off ebay. That way, you have the Kenmore name and not generic.

I have been using my sis's Pfaff with a built-in walking foot for things like sewing on a binding, but I finally got one when I went to the shop to get my machine (Pfaff) checked.
I don't know if this would make a difference with those who have had problems, but he told me I had to sew slower. This is hard for me to do, but it sews beautifully when I do. If I forget and speed up, it kind of shakes. I should add that this is a generic foot, not a Pfaff.
