I was at our local Walmart last night and noticed their fabrice area is REALLY small now -- there was a sign that said "we no longer cut fabrice, price is by the bolt". There was NO ONE anywhere around to ask if they were completely getting rid of that dept or just "re-arranging" like the rest of the store. Guess I will have to give them a call!

I want it to be like it was when Sam was alive! Just think of all the customers that will not drive in traffic because they can not. Who will be there for them and how will they get their fabric.

Which Walmart in Atlanta sells fabric? I was told they removed the fabric dept from all the Walmarts in Atlanta.

All over we customers have complained. Maybe they will return to other ares as well. Hope so. I'm in central Fl & no return yet. When I registered my complaint online I reminded them about the big mistake Coca-Cola made when they "fixed" their formula when it wasn't "broken" a few years back.

Thats great news. Maybe all our letters and petitions actually impacted Wally. Hope so anyway. Hope they open again here in So. East PA.

Walmart should know better than to mess with people who play with sharp things as a hobby!

Oh, I do hope that they bring it back to my mom's walmart! All she has is Joanns and one lqs, which is a bit pricey for her.

Ok ladies and gents, just want to forewarn you all that the 5 yards bolts at Walmart are mostly rejects. As I help out in a fabric shop, and we have had many customers come in complaining about "runs", and obvious print errors on the "5 yard only" bolts. Be careful. I would 100 times rather pay $6+ for 1 yard of good quality quilting fabric, than pay $5 for something that may not be suitable for anything other than a dusting cloth (and then that would probably scratch your furniture). Just a friendly word of caution. :D

Where I live in Montana we never did lose our fabric dept
it isn't as big as it used to be. I am glad to hear others
will be getting theirs back.
:)

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum. I live in the Ft. Smith Arkansas area and we have 5 WalMarts within 20 miles of me and 3 have a really nice selection of fabric and supplies, machines and cutting boards. You might keep that in mind if you get close to here.
