I love Minky its soooo soft and cuddly. I don't know about a rag quilt, never tried that. But I will tell to be ready.. it sheds when you cut it (some types more than others) I had to vacuum a lot in and out of my machine. I machine quilted mine and didn't have any problems. Stitch in the ditch and straight line.. not sure how FMQ would go. Good luck

I have made several baby blankets with Minkee. I piece the quilt as usual with cotton fabric, then use Minkee on the back and do light quilting. Makes a wonderful soft blanket for new babies!!!! Every Mom has loved them!!!!

I used minky on a rag quilt (front) and it worked fine for me. I am making another rag quilt and going to use minky for the back.
