Glad the holes closed up after washing. Now you have a lovely fresh surface to create on.

thinking and it was not about this quilt!! :)

Are you going to go back and do those same motifs? You know I liked them, but agreed that like in real estate it's all about location, location, location!!!! :D So much work ... and now onwards to a stunning finish, in a different way! :)

No. I'm thinking it should be simpler and maybe more geometric. That's as far as I've got.

My thoughts exactly! I need to work on my patience.

You are very lucky that your batting didn't turn into a pile of "UCK"!! Most batting manufacturers do NOT recommend washing the batting seperately.

You made me laugh right out loud. You think like I do!! LOL

Well I guess washing was the wrong term. I immersed it thoroughly in the washer, immediately spun dry and laid it out on the frame to dry. Most battings can be pre-shrunk that way.

Maybe you will find a new project to do and use those wonderful designs?
I can visualize a whole cloth of a shaded batik in a washed out henna colour ... with your henna designs.

I'd never heard of this expression before. I was very confused and was wondering if your dog threw up on the quilt until I looked up the phrase in the Urban dictionary. :D

Great save. Isn't it amazing how quickly you can sew in the problem and how long it takes to take it out. I know you feel better about the whole thing by fixing the problem. I have been in a similar situation and worked on correcting it for an hour a day until redone. The quilt is beautiful and you have saved lots of money and fabric. Patience really is a virtue.
