I agree that there is not going to be much space on that size label to print all that you might want. Think you will only get your name and perhaps a date on.

How does ur quilt labels look like? about the only thing they have in common is my signature name of Klue Designs and i tuck scraps of the quilt fabric behind it in case repairs ever need to be made. lately i've been putting a photo of the quilt on the label. when its a commission quilt that the client is giving to someone as i gift i offer to do 2 labels - 1 label from me and then another label from them. this way they can write words of love and affection - its very popular, i've never had a client turn down the offer. some of my clients show up with their comments and ask me to print it on the computer like i do mine and then all they have to do is hand sign the label. |
i make mine large enough to write or embroider my name, the name of the recipient, the date and the place. if it's a special occasion, i might add that.
i am on the email list for dover publications and they send samples. whenever there's a sample of a frame-like picture, i bookmark it. later i print it out on label fabric and then write inside the frame. it gives the option of choosing the size frame i want, and the style. you can also choose to use just a corner clipart from them, also free. |
