With all the suggestions you are getting, it is probably more difficult for you to come up with a title and book cover than the technique that the book will be all about. I agree that stained glass in the title brings to mind a totally different technique. But whatever the title you use needs to be bigger and stand out more. I personally like the pictures in #6 but the title needs to stand out more. I think the background could be adjusted to give the photos more drama. |

I like the look of number 1, but I think number 2 shows the technique better, so I vote for number 2.
OK, just saw picture number 3, and I agree with the later votes - number 3 it is!! |

I like 2 --what about moving the line over her face a little more so we can see what it does on the face and hair but yet you can still see the regular face and hair both.

Needs more work. Back ground needs changing. The blue lined work appeards to be more of a clip art piece and the portrait though a beautiful little girl needs to be blended more into the art work. Right now it's choppy. Good start keep at it.

I sent you a PM a short time ago. I was so intrigued when I first saw your technique that I jumped on downloading the file you provided. Now my first attempt is almost completed except for the final edge trim and finishing. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the process. Today I caught this thread about cover ideas for your proposed book. Having just done the technique my preference is definitely #2, with #5 for the back cover. I agree that the text should be wrapped and not overlay the images. As for using the term Portraits, my feeling is it makes a great first impression. The fact that subjects other than people can be done this way could be conveyed in a tag line on either, or both, the front and back. Include a small graphic of a landscape or still life, with an offset of the fabric image on the back cover to further illustrate the point. Thanks again for devising this unique process.
