Just add the blue yardage to the purple. (3 1/4yds ?) Of course this does not include any border fabrics. hope I have helped My blocks will be 12" finished and found I am making a King size quilt, the larger blocks will look nice on that size. Thank you for the drawing and yardage information. I feel I do not need the book at this point as it is a simple quilt, after one knows the total yardage needed. Now to start my very large project. Amazon has the book but really might not be helpful for making 12" finished blocks. Thank you everyone |
Gay, What a great post! Thanks.

My preference is to avoid anxiety and plan to use more than just 3 fabrics. You can always find similar fabric and I think the variety makes the quilt "one of a kind". In the past, I held my breath through a couple quilts wondering if I had enough fabric to finish. Then I decided I liked the look of a variety of fabrics anyway. Have fun with it. There are enough things to worry about--but not your quilting!

Gay, are you able to create a sample quilt using an 8x8 block setting to see if it looks odd. And maybe a 9x9 block setting to compare them.
Have never made anything bigger than a queen and am not comfortable with finding the right layout. |
