If you click on this story and read through to the 2nd store owner, she talks about regionally inspired fabrics. She's charging $60 a yard, and almost $17 for a fat quarter...would you pay this amount for fabric??? I know I wouldn't... |
Never.
To me, it reads that she sells an upholstery material made of recycled plastic bottles. That would be too heavy for quilts, but I have seen material that expensive used for furniture and drapes. Not at my house, however! Anna's Linens works just fine.
I say if she is selling it and quilters are buying it for a quilt then she is certainly laughing all the way to the bank.
Absolutely, positively not!!
OH MY WORD!!! Couldn't afford it here!
I own a sign shop and my big machine is capable of printing on fabric. It wholesales at 3.00 per sq. ft. thats 27.00 per yard without the cost of the fabric. I have done complete wedding scenes 5'x9' for 150.00. scarves for 40.00 with babies at different ages. Many things people want on fabric. One man had his prize racehorse on fabric he used to upholster chairs for his office. Her prices are realistic if you want to design your own creation.
Well, let's see, I'm absolutely drenched in money, I prefer to have things that the "common" people can't afford, so perhaps I should buy it by the bolt. NOT!!!
If she can get it good for her but she won't be getting any of my meager (and that's the unfortunate true story) finances. |
Not in this life time!!!!
NO WAY......even if I could afford it......there is no way I'd pay those prices....plain and simple. There are a lot of very nice fabrics out there for a lot less money.
