I can't imagine paying that much I've seen singers in the goodwill for only 100.00 with treadle, the cabinet is probably worth that and most likely doesnt work. Most of us own an antique don't we???

I took an antique class once and the instructor said nothing was an antique if it wasn't 100 years old. And in England (to our ladies in The Isles, please correct me) it wasn't an antique till it was 300 years old. Well, I have 32 more years to go and guess where that puts me. LOL

Let's see: must be the first sewing machine ever. Found deep in a cave in France near those famous old wall paintings. It's hand carved out of mastodon tusks.
