I'd use it to put those clear shoe boxes in that I use to store my fat qtrs. (they are currently sitting on the floor stacked up)

That would make a great place to put dowel rods in and store ribbon spools. I know, I know, it's not fabric, but I have a ton of those ribbon spools that need a place to go.

Like others I'd store fabric but would have them in bags or shoe boxes or something covering the opening to block out light and dust. Speaking of dust....how do you manage to keep you house so clean and tidy? :o I'm jealous.

Looks like something was was originally made for scrapbook paper. I would buy the 12x12 fabric containers sold at Target and put one in each cube. then fill with fabric or UFO's. It would look tidy and keep the sun off the fabric.

I would go to Wal-Mart and buy a few clear plastic boxes$3.97ea, the ones that the handles lock on. I love these boxes because they are just the right size for storing material and other sewing items. I have several and they stack easily. 15 x 11 1/2 x 3 1/4 in hgh. There is a larger size for around $5 They also have blue handles that lock the lid in place.

Most def. secure it with cable ties. I have one similar and have it hanging horizontally on the wall over my cutting table. In one cubby, I keep all bagged works in progress, in another, I have files of quilt patterns and in the last, I keep FABRICS!!!
