Always!

Umm, recently. But it was such a fabulous inky blue batik, I knew whatever wasn't used in the quilt would end up in my clothes closet.

I usually alway do buy more.
If it is on the bolt I buy it. I have run short too often and then can't get the fabric. Also, in the middle of the stream I may change what I'm doing and need more fabric. Always happy to add to the stash. haha
I buy 15% more than I need, for shrinkage and boo-boos. Never been sorry.
I'm in!
Me, there's always the chance that I'll misscut something then run short.
Guilty (which explains why my stash runneth over!!)
Can't afford to.
Yep! Every time!
Yes I do. sometimes the pattern is wrong so I would rather be safe than sorry. I made a quilt from a pattern in an old book and they had forgot one whole section in the star. I hadn't been quilting very long and was so confused that I drove over to my neighbor's house, laid it all out on her floor and we decided that if I made another section that everything would fit just fine. Always.

Guilty as charged. I always see another quilt coming on when I buy fabric.
depends on how much I like it and the price. most of the time I "shop" in my store and can make just about any pattern I've found. in the rare cases I have to go shopping, I still add extra to the stash.
I do! It allows for errors or better yet sets me up for quick baby quilts, small projects and of course ........ another scrappy quilt or two or three.
I do for two reasons, fear of not having enough and it helps me build stash.

Always!
not always........just occasionally.......
I would rather have to much then not enough!
Another guilt trip for today, enough already!!!!
always.
Usually 1/4 yard extra unless I really like the fabric, then it depends on how much I like it!
Always!!!
Guilty!!!! I add it to my stash.
I usually buy a little extra fabric for a project. I don't live near any quilt shops or other places that carry fabric.
I'm quilty !!
If I really, really like the fabric, I will buy up to 1 yard more
You girls make me giggle with all the reasons for buying extra. If I like it I buy 3 yards min. If I really like it I buy 5, If I love it I buy 10. If the bolt is low I buy all of it. No more excuses for me. I love my fabric, enjoy looking at it like a fine painting, enjoy touching it. It gives me joy and comfort and keeps me out of the bars. I don't drink so that isn't so hard, but it works for me.
Always!! Extra is needed.....(wanted;-)
I usually buy 1/2 yard extra.
isn't that how we build a stash?? :-)

I always buy some xtra yardage & if I dont use it because of changes to the pattern of the quilt I may make pillow shams to go with the quilt or a couple of toss pillows. I have also made dust ruffles or valance to match a few quilts. If anything else it helps build the stash! LOL
I usually add up to 1/2 yard to my purchase, just to make sure I don't run out and to allow for shrinkage in pre-washing. I've been working hard to reduce my stash, and am down to a very small number of pieces (yardage) now. But my LQS is having a sale this week - finish the bolt and get 20% off. I suspect I may be increasing my stash on Saturday :)
I almost always buy more. My excuse is that I may make a mistake and want to be sure I have enough. My stash grows.
sounds just like me!!!
