I agree with you. Maybe a green border - a color that matches or compliments the green in the quilt .
love the colors of the piecing work.

I like most of the quilts I have seen called Yellow Brick Road, none none of them have been yellow. This one does have the "brick" look, but for the life of me I cannot figure out the pattern. It appears to be an easy one, but to hard for me for some reason.

Maybe someone will be kind enough to tell me what the piecing principle is?

I think I would do a green border to match or simular to the green in the quilt. Pretty quilt.

My 2 cents: The border seems too feminine for a male. A darker color green or brown (solid) would pull it together nicely. But if you want to use that fabric, I suggest you make it narrower then add the darker color as a final border
