Here is my quilting space in my basement. I'm an empty nester too and find I spend alot of time here than I ever did.

WOW, what a great space! And unlike me, you can see the floor! and the table! and find your other sewing machine!
I sew in the dining room and it looks like a tornado hit. Having a dinner party next week so gotta clean!!!

Such a fabulous room with so much space to have as your quilting room. I would spend tons of time in there myself.

Now, this is what a quilter is talking about......SPACE!!!!!!

I wanted mine in the basement but every once in a while when it rains just right we get water in the basement. Since I don't want water in my sewing things, I elected to stay in the sewing room upstairs. Would love to have the extra space though.

WOW! I just bookmarked your sewing room. I have a finished basement in our house in TN and hope to use it as a quilting room when my husband retires! I love the colors of the room...so warm and cozy and the design wall element is awesome. And that table for cutting...you have a great set up!!!

I like the way you laid out your room. I got a rolling desk chair that made it easier to go from station to station. :thumbup:

You guys are all so nice, but I never realized the bed was in the picture. My DH works midnights and so it's cooler for him to sleep there than upstairs. To funny....I don't want to NAP, I want to SEW!!!!!!!!

OMG - I think I live at your house. Same walls, same floor and nearly identical setup. Now if I just knew how to quilt. Have begun quilting for just a few months, and have been pinning my designes to divider curtains. Thank goodness for basement spaces.

Fabulous room! I miss my basement, what was I thinking when we sold that house? I have a nice sewing/quilting room, but the basement was cool in the summer and plenty of space.

I love your room in the basement. A nice quiet place to be. My hubby has the basement and it is so messy I hate to go down there. I have our sun room and love it but have to keep the blinds down beacause way too much sun. Thinking about using some window tinting on them.
