You wake up out of sound sleep and have to go upstairs to draw a quilt layout you were dreaming about.
When work cuts into your quilting time.

-you look at the pastors shirt and wonder if he would mind if you took a picture of it: GREAT leaf pattern for quilting!

-you HAVE to run back into hotel to take a picture of the wall of the ELEVATOR as it has a great 'doodle' for quilting (honest! the family was waiting drive the 5 hours home!)

love this thread..and knowing..I am NOT ALONE! :-D

oh! and I forgot...

you KNOW you are a quilter when your DH calls from the Home Center...after you have been looking for an area rug for 6 months. He KNOWS its the right colors, so the next day you drive across town to see it and its a Log Cabin!

You know you are a quilter when you start carrying your camera around to get a better, clearer picture than you can get off your phone, of all the possibilities out there.

you can spot fabric at a yard sale before you stop...your clothing has lint attached......if its the right price, you know it will work up into SOME quilt you will make one day....you see coloring book patterns that would make a great embroidered block for a baby quilt, or even some for big quilts, like flowers, trucks, etc. so you buy it and the grandkids aren't allowed to color in it til you have picked the ones you may use!---you ask for the craft & fabric section of the thrift store when you walk in the door...

I'm with you, Central Ohio Quilter. We'll be remodeling our basement soon and I want a tile floor with a quilt pattern in it!
Also, whenever my husband talks about the road trip we are planning to take from Seattle to New Mexico, my first thought is, "What quilting projects can I take to work on while riding in the car?".
Of course, I've done all the other things mentioned, too!!!

When you take the time to read all 9 pages of responses to this question just to determine that you are not alone, as I am guilty of all of the above. lol

What a nice rug done in a log cabin pattern! I downloaded it.
Thanks for the idea.
