sorry, I have no more than 3 projects going on at any given time and I make myself finish all before I start the next. Guess it's a personal fear of mine . . . I'll pass and the unfinished works will just get tossed out because nobody in the family sews or even wants to learn.

HAve to admit I am one. HAve about 8 tops alone. I can't quilt with poop and having them quilted is way beyond my budget.

I guess I'm an alien too. The only part I don't particularly like is sandwiching it but I even do that as soon as the top is finished because I enjoy doing the quilting and binding and can't wait to see the completed quilt.

As a longarm quilter, I quilt a lot of tops for "toppers" and I do make it a point to piece and quilt one of my own tops every year. But, I usually have one at all times in the piecing stage, with 6 more hanging waiting for quilting.

I like to finish the quilt then take it to be quilted. Last year I made four quilts. One for myself, one for each of my sons and one for my daughter-in-law. I mailed two of the quilts to ROME so my daughter-in-law and son could open them for Christmas.
The largest quilt I made for a wedding in 2009 was 103 by 103.

Right now I'm just putting blocks together using up some of my stash, I'll probably put some of them into a table runner.

I am an alien...while I do have 3 projects in the works, all of mine do go from start to finish. Mostly because I have an end person that I am giving the quilt to. Many of these people I see rarely since I live quite a distance from most of my family peeps. So I pretty much always have a rough deadline, because I refuse to mail the quilts. They are meant to be given in person.

To me, I hate leaving things unfinished! They can be "in progress" but not unfinished. Honestly, I do not sleep well with things unfinished, but will dream about them!

eta: but I do it all myself...if I had to send tops out to a LAQ, I woudl not be able to afford to have them all quilted!
