I just found some fabric at Joann's by April Cornell. Is she new? I fell in love with all her large prints (and I usually don't like florals). Check her out if you like large florals on dark backgrounds.
both of these are my favorites too!

Robert Kaufman. His fabrics always catch my eye first without me knowing whose they are. And Hoffman batiks!

I have noticed that I am buying a lot of Robert Kaufman fabrics lately. So I guess that would be my answer.
I look for color, design, (and price). I did follow Douglas Day nuts, bolts design for men; Rebecca Barker designs through Elizabeth Studios on her quiltscape lines.
Kona solid colors of White & Black. Miss Rosie's Quilt Co. True Blue kit of pattern and fabrics. Love it!!! Going to do it in Batiks, too. And Kaye England's Signature Scraps patterns. And her Voices of the past. Wing and a prayer design Tonga Nature. I trust my quilt stores to carry good lines or listen to advice of good friends who know their designers. I am still learning all about good "designer" lines. One I stumbled across was a bamboo backing material, and now cannot find it any where. Would love to find a whole bolt of it. |
Hoffman, Michael Miller and Moda.

You know, I just don't get into who made/designed the fabric. I couldn't tell you whose fabric I have in my small stash of fabrics. I go for patterns and colors and all the things that make fabric beautiful and would make a quilt beautiful, should I ever get to finish one. What difference does it make who designed it other than they are geniuses all around, but I just love the look of the fabrics and how they compliment each other, regardless of who manufactured or designed them.

Is Thimbleberries still putting out new lines of fabric ??
I know she still does patterns & books but I don't see any TB fabrics at shops here anymore ? Looks like they've been overtaken by Moda and Red Rooster etc, at least in our part of the country ... |
They have names too? He He, what ever speaks to me loudest at the time, Iam an equal opportunity fabricholic.
I just love fabric!
Don't have any real particular favorites. I love them all in due season!
Moda! Especially anything by 3 Sisters!
Probably Moda as every time I pick up a piece to look at it in the shop, it is usually Moda. I really like several of them.
