I'd say for me its the logcabin. Its come a long ways since the tradional block. Now you see it in crazy quilts, diamonds, half blocks, quarter blocks, etc. There's no end to the sizes and shapes of the tradional logcabin block.

I have so many favorites but the one block that gets me excited is the Drunken Path.

Love Monkey Wrench... which is a chunkier version of Churn Dash. Love both. Also Irish Chain.

I love all the stars, especially the Ohio Star as someone else mentioned. Log Cabin is my all time favorite.

Thank you for mentioning an Irish Chain. I have been looking for a pattern for me - what better than a Double Irish Chain? Now I'm rushing the quilt on the machine so I can start it. It will pink, yellow and white.

I seem to make Friendship Star more than any other block, although I love making Dresden Plate, too.
