1. Stitch what makes you happy. If the "strange colour combination" or "weird design" makes your heart soar, stitch it up! It's your creation and your quilt.
2. Measure, cut and stitch as accurately as you can. Straight seams, accurate points and dead on intersections will help avoid frustration and make the whole process much more enjoyable for you the quilter. 3. Ignore nasty "quilt comments" from others and refer to rule #1. 4. Find a quilt friend or friends and spend time with them doing what you both love. |
Have several projects going at one time so that I don't get bored with one.
Don't let ANYONE intimidate me or make me feel less of a quilter than I am. #1 rule: ENJOY IT!!!! |

It's been a few minutes since I posted last comment. Was sitting here piecing and decided to add one more rule.
ALWAYS USE LEADERS AND ENDERS! It makes my quiling life so much easier. |
