Printing problem
I have paid for an ebook - Twist and Turn Bargello by Eileen Wright - but when I tried to print it I was advised that this cannot be done. I have paid for this book and feel I should be able to print it out, can anyone advise me if this can be done and how? Or does anyone know how to contact Eileen Wright? I have contacted the Company I bought it through but they have not replied.

Most ebooks have printing and copy/paste restrictions for copyright reasons (e.g. the publishers don't want you to have your own print copy of the book for free) It is why they offer them cheaper than the print version.

you should be able to save it to your computer to refer to as you need to- but ebooks are generally not 'printable' the authors/suppliers do generally offer a print copy or the book- or an ebook option.

I never thought I could print an e-book. I download them to my Droid and to my net-book, and just read them.
But, logically, why would you want an e-pattern you couldn't print? Seems silly to have a print restriction.
Maybe they will email you PDF's of the parts you need printed so you can make the quilt.
Good luck -

There was a previous post about this issue here - http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...o-t241426.html
The OP decided to print from her PC but had originally been told that the charts could be printed from a web site. You might contact her to find out if she ever located that web site.
When I need to save or print something that doesn't have print functionality, I use the snipping tool in Windows 7. (It doesn't print, but it does save, and from there I can print.) I didn't know it existed until I read about it on this board.

See if you can use a free program like "Print Friendly" to print to an email, as a pdf file or regular document. Its wonderful! Saves me all the high-lighting and copying. Thanks for "Snipping" info Dunster! That'll be very handy!
