My DD "borrowed" my HQ Sweet Sixteen a couple of months ago. I finally got it back and set up. It has the TrueStitch control system. When I hooked the TS up this afternoon the LED indicator lights on the controller did not light up and the display information did not appear on the screen. The receiver light was ok. Is it possible that I need a new battery for the controller? The manual says that the battery can only be replaced at the factory or by a HQ trained rep. Any ideas? I have called HandiQuilter but am waiting for a call back. Figured I would ask here also. Thanks

Whenever I had a question I both called and e-mailed. In the e-mail I sent pictures also which helped. Turned out one problem was having the wrong connector, which they quickly replaced for free.
Check all the connections first to see if anything loosened with the transport of the SS.
Good service.

Thanks, Ali. I called HQ and spoke with a very, very nice technician. He finally decided that the likely the controller had failed. HQ will be mailing me a brand new TrueStitch control system and I will return the faulty one to them. The charge is $40 which I felt was more than fair as the machine was out of warranty. I am so pleased with their service.
