    Put a full sticky note pad under that rubber band, up against the presser foot, and run your fabric edge against the glued edge of the pad instead of eyeballing the rubber band.

    Even faster, more accurate seams!

    Look at all those nice lines around the feed dogs. They are WONDERFUL for using to line up things.

    (Not all machines have them - but if yours does - try using those lines for guides and see what seal allowance you come up with)
