I used the pounce ultimate to mark my queen sized quilt, which I am hand quilting on a Grace frame. It only comes in white. As I worked, I found that even with ultimate, I needed to remark as the chalk faded a bit by the time I was about 1/2 done. I am on the next to the last area now, and keep a washable marking pencil by my side to make some markings easier to see. All told though, I am pleased with the pounce ultimate. It is a very good time saver. AND I am very glad to be almost finished with hand quilting a queen sized quilt.

if this is the type that washes out, you can spray it with some hair spray. doing it section by section would be fine though. if it is the type that irons off, it really should not go away with handling.
