I've always loved to do jigsaws and have a whole collection of them in the storage unit - that's where they ended up when I needed more room for my fabric. Since I started quilting, I haven't needed to have a puzzle going...
Must be a direct relationship between quilting and jigsaw puzzles.

Yep, I often get those for Birthdays and Christmas. The 3D ones are especially good for spacial relationships as well as the recognition of pattern, I think. The family I spend Christmas with always has a new, giant one to do together after the meal. I get lots of opportunity to get good photos of them all whilst they are relaxed.

Oh, yes! Usually do the three MSN ones on line every day to rest a few minutes. We always had one going during the winter, when I was growing up, and when we went home for holidays after we were grown, there was a new one waiting. A nice tradition.

I love to do jig-saw puzzles but with a very helpful almost 5 yr. old around everyday it is almost impossible to have one out. Also a cat that loves to sleep on whatever new project comes along. I just bought a new puzzle the other day though that maybe I can work on over a week-end when the grandkids are not here (that is the 5 yr. old).

I also like solving mysteries including genealogy. Guess it is all about solving a problem or puzzle or making something beautiful out of disorder ( bits of material)..
