Oh I sure hope not....Moda is one of my top favorites. I tend to like many of the older collections and am always looking out for them. Sure hope this isn't a trend of things to come.

    :-(

I like Moda too but it is not the same quality as some of my older fabrics. In fact I can't tell any difference from Moda quality from Connecting Threads fabric quality, except the colors and fabric designs are mostly nicer in the Moda.

I think I am going to take the fabric I have posted in my stash thinning sales off the market & keep them for myself. I do shop JoAnn's as well for my baby quilts, but keep those fabrics separate as I can feel the difference compared to the older quilt shop quality fabrics in my stash.

moda has gone down hill, i loved them for years and now i won't buy anything from them because the quality is so poor.

Most of mine I've had for years and are the older collections when the fabric was so soft, thick and wonderful (for lack of better words). Just touching it is wonderful besides being such fabulous eye candy.

I appreciate the heads up and will be selective in new purchases.
I do like Michael Miller and many others. So will watch out for them also. I haven't purchased from Connecting Threads as of yet but it is something to think about.

This thread is very interesting and I appreciate hearing the experiences of others.

I worry that this is only going to continue. Quality will probably go down while price goes up. I heard on the news this week that there has been a 150% increase in the price of cotton. I googled cotton prices, and they have really shot up.

I recently bought several pieces of a line from Maywood Studios and they are just beautiful fabrics. I am just thrilled with them. But it was a line that was out in 2006 called Willowberry Winter, so that was 6 years ago! I was lucky to find so many pieces of this fabric line still in quilt shops!

Oh this makes me sad :(
Can't say that I've noticed yet but I hope it isn't a trend.
